摘要

In a world where cities are becoming more congested and traffic delays are resulting in billions of dollars' worth of down-time, the need for Smart Cities to provide sustainable mobility is rising. Nicolas Burger, Automotive Channel Marketing Director at TomTom, believes that this need can be met with a combination of on-board routing and off-board computing power. With the increase of the number of connected cars, governments and public agencies have an opportunity to provide more valuable connected services for their citizens individually and also for the health and prosperity of the whole city itself. Intelligent navigation could be more cost-effective than ongoing optimization of the existing road infrastructure.
