Norway's oil output dropped significantly in January after crude volumes hit 11-year highs both in December and 2021 as a whole, data from the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate Feb. 22 showed. Crude output from Western Europe's largest oil and gas producer fell by 6, or 113,000 b/d, on the month, and 4, or 66,000 b/d, from January 2021, to 1.74 million b/d, while overall oil output including natural gas liquids dropped 233,000 b/d on the month and 154,000 b/d compared with a year earlier to 1.97 million b/d.
