In this country, farmers have always been poor, toiling farms they don't normally own and barely making enough to live by. It is no wonder then that the usual election promises have only created many cynics and skeptics among farmers and their leaders. Gregorio Reyes, or "Tata Gorio" of Malolos, Bulacan, now in his 70's, is one such cynic. He has seen how the farming sector has been used and abused.
