U.S. Brahman breeders participate in Philippines sale

One hundred seventy Brahman breeders representing nine slates participated in a historic shipment of Brahman cattle to the Philippines in early February of this year. The 1,000 plus head of ABBA registered cattle that were involved in the shipment (including both bulls and females) represented a total sale gross in excess of 1,5 million dollars. Texas led all slates in numbers of cattle shipped and Florida was second. The other states, in their approximate order of participation, were Louisiana, Oklahoma, Georgia, Tennessee, Mississippi, North Carolina, and South Carolina.
