US aluminium sector - energy challenges reviewed

Securing America's Future Energy's (SAFE) Centre for Strategic Industrial Materials has launched a new report, The U.S. Aluminum Industry's Energy Problem and Energy Solution, highlighting reduced primary aluminium production in the United States in recent years along with possible solutions to the challenge. The Aluminum Association supports efforts to increase primary aluminium production in the US while simultaneously supporting mid-and-downstream production and recycling, in which the industry has invested significantly in recent years.
