"What can architecture do? What can it contribute to ensuring a good life for all? Answers to questions like these can he found not only in current exhibitions but also in our collection. With its new display collection, the Az W is designing a blueprint for an (architecture) museum of the future", says Az W director Angelika Fitz, who together with curator Monika Platzer developed the concept for the new permanent exhibition of the Architekturzentrum Wien with the name "Hot Questions - Cold Storage". On 2 February 2021, the display collection - presented in the setting of the exhibition architecture by Michael Hieslmair and Michael Zingangel alias tracing spaces - will be opened and, among other things, will bring some of the Museum's well-cared for treasures from behind the curtain for the first time.
