abstract_textpThis work demonstrates an attempt to base-promoted N-acylation of cyanamides, which otherwise requires using harsh reaction conditions, toxic solvents, tedious purification procedure, and low yields of product. For this purpose, the performance of two different methods, including ultrasound irradiation and conventional techniques on the N-acylation reaction, have been comparatively evaluated. Concisely, the effectuality of ultrasonic irradiation as a promising co-promoter agent has been demonstrated in this base-promoted N-acylation reaction. The product yields and reaction duration are improved using the strategy of ultrasonic-assisted N-acylation. The simplicity of operation and performing the reaction under mild conditions, obtaining pure products without a tedious purification procedure, high product yields, and short reaction duration are the salient features of this study, which can open up a new strategy for the N-acylation reactions./p/abstract_text
