Go lean and get faster

摘要

Getting leaner with product design and development makes a firm statement about how the industry wants to better manage costs and speed up the time-to-market timetable. Suggestions for how the industry can get lean was the topic of a panel discussion in the AVL Technology Theatre during SAE 2004 World Congress. With the industry being more competitive than ever, panel moderator James Morgan, Director of the Lean Product Creation North American Product Development for Ford Motor Co., started the session by stating, "It's clear we need to be quicker in responding to our environment."
