FORESTYS: a start-up to assess species for the future in a context of changing climate

© AgroParisTech, 2023.Research in forest ecology in Nancy has led to the birth of FORESTYS, a company specialised in forest station analysis. In a changing and uncertain context, it brings information about the choice of potentially adapted species. An in-depth approach and recent climate simulations objectify risks and forest opportunities at a local scale, without suppressing uncertainties. Feedbacks point to what remains to be done to update the inclusion of forest ecology in silviculture.
