US water chemicals manufacturer USALCO completed a merger with specialty chemicals supplier G20 Technologies this month, deepening its capabilities as a water treatment solutions provider, and furthering its national reach. The deal follows a trio of acquisitions which have seen USALCO branch out from its stronghold in the Midwest and Maryland to as far afield as California, while the addition of G20 brings a presence in Georgia, South Carolina and Texas. "G20 brings a nice specialty product set, and we don't really overlap much at all, so it adds more geographic expansion. We've now got a more diverse product line, a broader geographic range, and better technology to serve our customers' needs," said Keval Patel, head of US middle market private equity at H.I.G. Capital, which co-owns the merged entity together with Arsenal Capital Partners.
