Adnoc Buys Mubadala's Borealis Stake

Abu Dhabi National Oil Co.(Adnoc)plans to acquire the 25 stake in Vienna-based petrochemicals firm Borealis that is held by Abu Dhabi's sovereign wealth fund Mubadala Investment Co.The transaction will deepen and expand Adnoc's footprint in the chemicals and petrochemicals sectors.Financial details were not disclosed.Austria's OMV will retain its 75 ownership of Borealis,which is already a partner to Adnoc in the Borouee petrochemicals joint venture in Abu Dhabi.
