China standard thermoplastics showed a mixed trend in October.The average prices of LDPE,PVC,PS,and PET decreased due to high inventories,weak demand,and lower feedstock prices.But LLDPE,HDPE,and PP were slightly up because of healthy demand.All in all,October demand for most thermoplastics was weak and only certain industries ordered actively.For instance,demand for LDPE and LLDPE remained strong from the agricultural and greenhouse film sectors.However,buying activity from these two sectors is expected to become weaker in the coming months.Overall,November demand is projected to be flat or weak for all standard plastics.Market participants remain pessimistic about the macro economy.
