Former Ram truck boss Fred Diaz made headlines for Nissan Motor Co. in August when he revealed big product changes for the next-generation Nissan Titan pickup. But trucks are just one of his challenges. Diaz has a full plate since taking over Nissan Division's top sales and marketing post in May after a long career at Chrysler. In his biggest splash, he announced that Nissan will offer a new turbocharged V-8 diesel engine from Cummins in its slow-selling Titan full-sized pickup when the truck is relaunched in 2015. The diesel option will make the Titan a stronger competitor for Detroit 3 pickup buyers, many of whom want diesels for hauling heavy workloads. But other job demands are going to consume the former Detroit executive's time until then.
