Sibur Launches Construction in Tobolsk Of New PP Plant at ZapSibNeftekhim

Moscow— Sibur has begun construction on a new polypropylene (PP) unit in Tobolsk, Russia, that will become part of the existing ZapSibNeftekhim integrated complex. The expansion project of Sibur's Tobolsk production cluster includes the construction of a 550,000-t/y propane dehydrogenation unit and the 570,000-t/y PP facility, based on advanced technologies. A schedule for the project was not given.
