1.US materials firm DuPont is paying US$2.3 billion to acquire Shanghai-based specialty products maker Laird Performance Materials from private equity firm Advent International,which acquired Laird's UK-based parent company in 2018 for US$1.3 billion.DuPont has also completed the merger of IFF and Nutrition Biosciences,receiving a cash payment of US$7.3 billion.DuPont is also selling its Clean Technologies business for US$510 million to an international private equity consortium.
