Remote or isolated workers may be isolated from help because of where they are working orthe nature of their work — for example, they may be working in locations where it would be difficult for them to receive medical attention or be reached by emergency services in the event of an animal attack. Workers can face additional workplace health and safety (WHS) risks if they are alone when conducting difficult tasks or if there is no one around to alert them to hazards or provide guidance on how to safely complete a task.
