Throughout my years at EEI, I have used this column to demonstrate the extraordinary progress EEI's member companies-our nation's investor-owned electric companies-are making to deliver America's resilient clean energy. I could not be prouder of the stories we have to tell as an association and as an industry: Our dramatic carbon emissions reductions. Our deployment of carbon-free energy resources. Our progress on building the climate-resilient infrastructure our customers and communities need. Our investments in innovative solutions that are unlocking an ever-brighter future. Make no mistake: EEI's member companies are determined to achieve a carbon-free energy future, all while maintaining the reliability our customers expect and minimizing the cost impacts of the investments needed to get us there. Yet today, we have a once-in-a-generation opportunity to supercharge our member companies' already-impressive track record on building this clean energy future.
