Spring Hill still a green scene despite Saturn's demise

It could be seen as bitter irony. Barely 30 days before it was scheduled to cease production in November, General Motors Co.'s Spring Hill assembly plant was recertified by the Wildlife Habitat Council for its environmental efforts around its plant site. The recertification recognizes 20 years of green thinking by a manufacturing unit that has been deemed superfluous to the restructured GM.
