One of the major objectives of the Concrete Institute of Australia is to provide members and industry an opportunity to share information and create professional development opportunities in the concrete construction industry throughout the country. This has traditionally been met on a regular basis with F2F technical seminars, workshops and site tours. Despite the disruption of COVID over the past two years, the start of 2022 is evidence that the industry still see's face-to-face learning and networking as extremely valuable. Over 500 people have attended CIA technical events in the first third of the year, in seven different cities. Topics have ranged from major projects, corrosion in concrete, precast concrete anchors, concrete bridge design, concrete bridge collapses, piling and underground basements, and more.
