Kennametal, Pittburgh (USA), promises increased productivity and lower costs per cut during the hard turning of its new ceramic grade KYHK15B. It enables greater depth of cut compared to CBN inserts for processing hardened steel, high-temperature alloys and castings, as well as maximum service lives and wear resistance for demanding turning applications. KYHK15B is intended to offer excellent cutting edge stability and greater chipping resistance. In addition, the PVD gold coating simplifies the detection of wear.
