A 30 to 45 minute wait to get into the F&I office used to be typical at Advantage Chevrolet, near Chicago."The finance process is too slow" was one of the most frequent complaints the dealership received from customers. But instead of pressuring F&I managers to speed up, the Hodgkins, ill., dealership cut customers' average wait time in half, to 15 to 20 minutes, by hiring a third F&I manager.
