摘要

Credit is tight. Whether you're trying to finance or refinance a project or simply stay afloat, credit issues have undoubtedly had an impact on your business in 2009. Securing financing for biodiesel facilities has never been an easy task. Even in 2007, when gas prices reached $4 a gallon and the credit markets contained a sufficient number of lenders willing to make a deal, biodiesel plant owners were required to doggedly pursue sources of investment and credit. Two years later, with gas at $2.60 a gallon and a recession that has battered the credit markets, biodiesel plant owners must have a laser-like focus on securing and maintaining financing to keep their business operating. Remaining viable in current economic conditions requires owners to consider how credit-both upstream and downstream of their operations- affects their ability to do business.
