Geopolitics over Brahmaputra Water: Dam Constructions in Tibet and Arunachal Pradesh

Water-related conflicts is a global problem. As water scarcity in both China and India worsens with rapid economic development and population expansion, the competition over shared water resources in transboundary rivers, particularly over the Brahmaputra will intensify. Without an effective working mechanism between the two countries and with lingering border disputes, water conflicts could potentially become a serious challenge to Sino-Indian relations.
