The International Grains Conference 2023 (IGC), under the theme ‘Achieving food security for importers in volatile world markets’, was held on June 12 -13,2023, in London, England. The conference was an integral part of London Grains Week and deemedto be incredibly important, even receiving coverage on the BBC news, which is the most popular English news TV channel.The two-day event was co-hosted by IGC and the government of Japan, with 13 conferences along with five side-conferences. In addition, they also held a cocktail reception on the first day and a lunch prepared by the Japanese chef that served the same lunch provided to the G7 Summit in Hiroshima in May 2023, and a breakfast event hosted by Glyphosate Renewal Group in the morning of the second day. This provided multiple opportunities for networking throughout the conference as these social moments neverinterfered with the conferences themselves, so everyone still had the chance to attend without sacrificing a chance to reconnect with old contacts or create new ones.
