Data shows that the Latin American country's biodiesel output was at 163K mt (41K b/d), a 37.2 decline on the year. The country's production took a hit in 2017 when the US, which was previously the largest importer of Argentinian biodiesel, imposed import duties. As export growth is the primary driver of production, output soon fell. Shipments to Europe also fell as the Netherlands was the only importer of the product during Nov 2019. Meanwhile, domestic consumption rose 6.1 to 99.9K mt (24.9K b/d) on demand for B10 diesel (10 blended biodiesel), but the uptick was not enough to offset the 58.9 decline in exports to 60K mt (1.2K b/d). During the month, YPF had a 55 share of gasoline and diesel sales in the country. Raizen (backed by Shell), Pan American Energy (backed by BP), and Trafigura were the next leading sellers.
