Austria's Lenzing H1 net profit surges 84% on strong margins

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Lenzing's first-half net profit surged 84% to ?94.6m, aided by “a positive market environment”, the Austrian cellulose fibres maker said on Wednesday. Revenues for January-June 2016 increased by 8.3% year on year to ?1.03bn, with earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) up 54.2% at ?195.1m, the company said in a statement.
