CRUDE SUMMARY: Some ground regained on weak US dollar

LONDON (ICIS)--Crude futures opened in positive territory on Friday, but drifted steadily lower through the early hours with Brent taking a brief dip into negative territory as Europe opened. However, prices then rallied on Russian comments supporting a freeze on production and this induced some more pre-weekend profit-taking.
