DR Shakuntala HaraksinghThilsted is the Global Lead for Nutrition and Public Health at WorldFish, part of the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research. Earlier this year; she was named as the winner of the 2021 World Food Prize for her ground-breaking research and landmark innovations in developing holistic, nutrition-sensitive approaches to aquatic food systems.DrThilsted played a key role in the development of the WorldFish 2030 research and innovation strategy:Aquatic Foods for Healthy People and Planet, and she is a member of the Steering Committee of the High Level Panel of Experts on Food Security and Nutrition of the United Nations Committee on World Food Security.
