Crude oil production in the US remained unchanged last week, estimates from the US Energy Information Administration (EIA) show. The agency's Weekly Petroleum Status Report, published Wednesday, showed that US crude output held steady at 12.1 million barrels per day in the week ended Nov. 11. The EIA rounds its weekly estimates of US crude production as well as output from the lower 48, which includes major shale plays and the US Gulf of Mexico, to the nearest 100,000 b/d. Lower 48 production also stayed at an estimated 11.7 million b/d for a second consecutive week.
