EU Jan-Nov 2015 chem exports up 14%, imports up 12%

LONDON (ICIS)--Chemical exports from the EU to the rest of the world rose by 14% year on year in January-November 2015 to European dollar 290bn, the European statistical agency Eurostat said on Friday. Although imports also rose, by 12% to European dollar 170bn year on year, they were much lower than exports resulting in a positive chemical trade surplus towards the EU of European dollar 119bn, up from the European dollar 103bn surplus achieved in the January-November period of 2014.
