HOUSTON (ICIS)--Saudi Kayan may be hampered by an ethane shortage in Saudi Arabia, an analyst said on Friday in commenting on the fourth-quarter loss the petrochemicals producer reported this week. 'We believe that due to an ethane shortage in Saudi Arabia the company is not getting its share of discounted ethane and hence has high cost of production,' said Hassan Ahmed, head of research at New York-based Alembic Global Advisors.
