摘要

Labeo rohita scale was fractionated for separation of hydroxyapatite and collagen through treatment with potassium hydroxide,phosphoric acid,and ammonium sulphate; the effluent was dried to powder named'Fish Scale Effluent(FSE)'.FSE solutions(w.V~(-1))of 0.5-3 and 0.5-2 were applied as fertilizer for wheat(Sonalika)and capsicum(Asha F,Hybrid),respectively,on sand in plastic pot,with two plants per pot for wheat and one plant per pot for capsicum.Performance was compared to 26.66 synthetic fertilizers,SF(urea:muriate of potash:single superphosphate = 1:1:2)solution.Solutions,applied in portions,amounted to 2.838 g-16.838 g and 3.575 g-14.3 g FSE per pot for wheat and capsicum,respectively; while invariant SF per pot was 55.333 g(wheat)and 61.333 g(capsicum).Wheat was harvested 91 days after sowing(DAS).Though maximum plant height(55 cm-59 cm; ≈ 63 DAS)was for>5.638 g FSE per pot,and 55.333 g SF per pot,maximum tiller(7.50-8.75 per plant)was for ≥ 8.438 g FSE per pot; yield was highest(~ 3.28 g plant~(-1))from 5.619 g FSE per plant.Capsicum plants attained highest height at 98 days after transplanting(DAT); it was 28.71 cm and 26.16 cm for 14.3 g FSE and SF; the first fruit(63 g)(5.1 cm length,6.43 cm diameter)was harvested on 71 DAT from 3.575 g FSE.
