LONDON (ICIS)--Political instability would return to Italy if Prime Minister Matteo Renzi resigns following a likely defeat in a referendum on Sunday. But analysts differ about the extent to which the economy could be hit. Renzi linked his political future to a positive outcome in Sunday's referendum on constitutional reforms when he thought a victory was at hand. A defeat, potentially, would end in an abrupt way what has been one of the most stable cabinets in decades.
