ECB holds interest rates, tapers QE from April next year

LONDON (ICIS)--The European Central Bank (ECB) on Thursday held key interest rates and tapered its quantitative easing (QE) programme from April next year by ?20bn. The bank’s central interest rates remain unchanged since March, when the ECB cut its main rate for refinancing operations to 0.00%, its marginal lending facility rate to 0.25% and its deposit interest rate to -0.4%.
