摘要

Adsorption of methylene blue dye by activated carbon from luffa shells was studied for removal of dye from aqueous solution. The influence of pH, adsorbent concentration, contact time and agitation speed, initial aye concentration, and temperature, were analyzed. The equilibrium isotherm data were studied using Langmuir, Freundlich, and Temkin models. The Langmuir isotherm model was reported as the suitable isotherm model. The kinetics were studied by pseudo-first-order and pseudo-second-order kinetic models: The Experimental data has revealed that the pseudo-second-order suitable kinetic model with a correlation coefficient value of 0.999.
