摘要

Pork is, by far, the most consumed meat in Europe, with almost half of the total meatconsumption. In this context, the present study aims to offer an updated perspective on the pork meatsector, bringing to the fore the contribution of consumer behavior to the sustainability of the meatsector, as reflected in the scientific literature. Furthermore, based on the reviewed literature, it can beinferred that labeling the credence claims (e.g., organic, country of origin, fair trade, free-range, oranimal welfare) could represent a competitive market advantage.
