US pending home sales fall in January

HOUSTON (ICIS)--US pending home sales fell 2.5% in January from the previous month, but remain slightly higher than a year ago, the National Association of Realtors (NAR) said on Monday. The NAR said its monthly pending home sales index (PHSI) declined to 106.0 in January, down from the upwardly revised 108.7 in December. However, it remains 1.4% above the January 2015 index of 104.5.
