SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Crude oil prices surged by more than $2/bbl in early Asian trade on Monday after Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and non-OPEC producers over the weekend agreed to reduce crude oil output by 558,000 bbl/day. At 02:05 hours GMT, the US referential West Texas Intermediate (WTI) for delivery in January rose by $2.34/bbl to $53.84/bbl while February Brent was up by $2.34/bbl at $56.67/bbl.
