China economy extends slowdown; '15 GDP growth at 25-yr low

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s economy in 2015 posted an average growth of 6.9%, the lowest in 25 years and represented a slowdown from the 7.3% pace recorded in the previous year, government data showed on Tuesday. Expansion in the fourth quarter was 6.8% year on year, the slowest quarterly growth pace since the global financial crisis in 2008, according to the country’s National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).
