Tesla, Panasonic to produce PV cells in US

HOUSTON (ICIS)--US electric vehicle and renewable energy firm Tesla has finalised an agreement with Japan’s Panasonic to produce photovoltaic (PV) cells and modules at a plant in Buffalo, New York, Tesla said on Tuesday. The PV cells and modules will be used to produce solar panels in roof products. Tesla will also incorporate the cells into solar glass tile roofs that Tesla will be manufacturing, it said.
