? 2022 Elsevier B.V.AlNb2TiV, a newly proposed low-weight refractory high-entropy alloy (LW-RHEA), shows good mechanical properties at high temperatures. However, the thermodynamic phase stability is still not clear. Here, we evaluated the phase stability of AlNb2TiV at the temperature of 700–1100 °C. The LW-RHEA is decomposed into B2, A15-Nb3Al and σ-Nb2Al phases after annealing at 1100 °C. Rod-like A15-Nb3Al precipitates from GBs grow along parallel orientation. Chain-like σ-Nb2Al particles precipitate along GBs.
