Battery cells “will not be a constraint to the long-term electric vehicle (EV) growth”, US automaker General Motors (GM) said, as it doubled down on its EV strategy. “Our Ultium cells joint ventures (JVs) in Ohio and Ten- nessee come on line in 2022 and 2023, respectively. And we will add capacity as demand grows,” GM chief executive Mary Barra said.
