US Gulf petroleum coke prices moved higher again this week on rising demand from China as coke so far retains its competi-tiveness in a tight coal market. US Gulf 6.5pc sulphur coke was heard sold in the low-to-mid $140s/t over the past week, and ofers are now up to $150/t. Mid-sulphur coke activity was scarce, but prices for this quality also rose signifcantly on the week.
