摘要

The water-resistance of fault filling greatly influences the occurrence of water inrush. The impact of the argillation on the water-resistance of fault filling was studied by a numerical model in this study. Weibull statistical distribution is adopted to govern the heterogeneity of particle size in the model. The process of argillation of fault filling was simulated by decreasing the scale parameter and increasing the shape parameter. Results indicate that: The velocity decreases with decreasing scale parameters and increasing shape parameters. The argillation can increase the water-resistance of fault filling and reduce the possibility of fault water inrush. This study provides a new method for simulating the impact of argillation on fault water inrush, which has the potential to be applied in practice to predict risks of fault water inrush.
