Asia MPG-PGI prices likely to weaken; MPG-USP prices to hold steady

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Spot prices of industrial-grade propylene glycol (PGI) grade of monopropylene glycol (MPG) in Asia are likely to weaken amid the drop in China’s domestic prices as well as the onset of the year-end seasonal demand lull for PGI, industry sources said on Monday. In the week ended 4 November, average prices of bulk PGI were stable week on week at $1,150/tonne CFR (cost & freight) northeast (NE) Asia and at $1,230/tonne CFR southeast (SE) Asia, according to ICIS data.
