Tronox TiO2 Q1 revenue down on lower prices, signs of turning point

LONDON (ICIS)--US producer Tronox’s titanium dioxide (TiO2) segment revenue totalled $285million in the first quarter of 2016, 26% lower than $385m in the same period a year ago and 15% lower than the $336 million in the previous quarter, according to a company press release issued late on Wednesday. The drop was primarily due to declining selling prices, but some signs of a “turning point” in price are visible, the company added.
