Frontiers in Cancer Prevention Research - Fifth Annual AACR Conference.

The fifth annual American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) conference on 'Frontiers In Cancer Prevention was a premier scientific meeting in the arena of cancer prevention that attracted international participants. The majority of attendees were academic and clinical scientists, but there was also significant participation from industrial scientists and patient advocates. Margaret Foti (AACR, USA) and Scott Littman (MD Anderson Cancer Center, USA) opened the meeting by highlighting the conference focus on the role of smoking in cancer development, strategies for cancer prevention and the development of cancer-preventing drugs.
