Crane dedicated for dragline bucket movement

A new Liebherr LTM 1170N 170t all terrain crane supplied to BHP Australia Coal is being used to lift 55t-60t dragline buckets during maintenance, repair and replacement operations.Working at the Norwich Park mine in central Queensland's Bowen Basin, the Liebherr LTM was purchased by BHPAC sight unseen and works in pit at the actual face. To ensure there is no downtime, BHPAC operations run between three and 15 cranes per mine, depending on the scope of operations.
