Dominion rises to meet Challenge mine, SA

Dominion Mining will push ahead with further exploration drilling beneath its underground Ml lode to extend gold reserves at the Challenger mine, 750km north west of Adelaide in South Australia. Dominion managing director Peter Alexander says the company has successfully pushed in recent times to lift and maintain its Challenger ore reserves at around 300,000oz of gold a year. "However, 90 percent of our current reserves are contained in the Ml shoot and our strategy is to extend both the Ml shoot and increase our drilling beneath the shoot where some initial work has intersected 3m at 23g/t gold about 150m below the lode," Alexander says.
