For more than a decade the Stirling Community Men's Shed has provided a welcoming and supportive meeting place for local men aged 55 years and older. It's proved so popular that it regularly has a waiting list for seniors wanting to be involved in thewoodworking projects and social get-togethers.City of Stirling Mayor Mark Irwin has commented that the Shed is an important City resource, offering members a real sense of companionship and a comfortable setting where they feel at ease talking about topics like men's health. 'They can be themselvesas they tinker away at everything from small toys to big scale community projects', he said.
